The Maryland bill of sale forms are used to legally transfer the ownership of a vehicle or vessel. Both parties, buyer and seller, must authorize the document and the new owner must keep an original for registration and application for title.

• Find Motor Vehicle Registration Office

Go to your local Motor Vehicle Office (Find Nearest) with the following forms and documents:

• Completed bill of sale
• Application for Certificate of Title
• An inspection of the vehicle must be completed and you will be given a certificate
• Proof of auto insurance
• Odometer Disclosure
