Register a Vehicle in Minnesota

When registering for a vehicle for the first time at the Department of Public Safety, you will need to bring the following forms and documents:

• Completed and signed bill of sale
• Registration Application
• Title – With the seller transferring the vehicle to the new owner
• Proof of insurance
• Blank check to account for the fees involved
