Apply in person at a Costco store
One can apply for a job at Costco in person or online. The website, www.Costco.com is easy to use, merely go to the bottom of the page and click the ‘Jobs’ link to begin. This will direct the browser to open a page which will introduce an applicant to Costco as well as give an opportunity for those in Utah and San Francisco to read required documentation. There is a lot of information on this page and in areas specifically introducing an applicant to an area of the company there is a separate job search and apply now link. There is also an opportunity for veterans to apply as veterans on this page. On the left there is an ‘apply now’ link which will direct the candidate straight to a job search page. Here one can search according to specific positions or to nearby locations. Returning candidates will have an option to log in on the right side of this page.
Once a criteria is selected the next page will give a chance to apply simultaneously to multiple locations for the same job title. This will be in the form of a list of locations with that opening and a check box. One may check up to five alternate locations.
In order to submit information to the site, one must have an account with Costco’s employment center which is free to set up. This is a relatively simple process where one supplies their contact information. Once that is done and the applicant has selected the job they wish to apply for they will need to agree to a background check. The application process has several pages, terms and conditions, personal information, disclosures, pre-employment questions, application information, EEO questions and then an opportunity to review the information submitted in the application before sending.
