The Alabama articles of incorporation documents allow a person to be able to incorporate with the Probate County Judge’s Office (Except for Foreign entities which deal directly with the Secretary of State). Attach the filing fee and send with one copy of the original to the mailing address provided.

How to File
Step 1 – Choose Type – Select the form that best matches the type of corporation you are forming. After choosing complete all the fields necessary and make two (2) copies.
- Domestic Profit – (Most Popular) – For any standard business that will be located within the State.
- Domestic Non-Profit – For a business located in the State that will be for nonprofit use.
- Foreign – For all corporations already in existence that are located in another State.
Step 2 – Pay Fee – Submit the following payment by attaching to the completed documents. Make all checks payable to the Alabama Secretary of State;
- Domestic Filings – $100
- Foreign Filings – $150
Step 3 – Mail – All forms with the required fees must be sent to the following address:
Domestic – Send to the Judge of Probate in the county where the entity will reside – See List
Foreign – Send to the following address;
- Secretary of State, Business Services, P.O. Box 5616, Montgomery, Alabama, 36103-5616.
After sending the completed corporation will take approximately 10 to 14 business days to get back to the applicant with the mailing address provided.
