3 Ways Get a Federal Tax ID Number

Option 1 – Apply Online – This is the fastest way to get an EIN number. It is free and you will get your federal tax identification number at the end of your session. Make sure to save the pdf  document that they will provide on the last page as you will need this official document to conduct financial activities such as open a bank account.

Option 2 – Telephone – 1-800-829-4933 – If you have the time you can apply over the phone. Make sure you have at least one (1) hour to spend on the phone as the Internal Revenue Service is very busy and can make you hold for up to 90 minutes to get an operator.

  • Hours: Monday thru Friday 7am to 10pm

Option 3 – Paper Application –  Once you complete this form you may be able to fax or send via standard mail to the IRS at the following numbers and addresses:
