Delaware Bill of Sale Form
A Delaware bill of sale as stated in the code (6305) allows for the transfer of title of a vehicle from one party to another. The form, once complete, will be needed in order for the new owner to receive title from the department of motor vehicles (Find Office).
In order to receive title, the new buyer should follow the checklist to register and return with the required forms and publications to their respective DMV office. This includes obtaining the following:
- Proof of insurance
- Certificate of vehicle inspection
- Title signed over from the previous owner
- Blank check for all fees at the DMV (See Fee Amounts and Calculator to get an idea)
