New York Bill of Sale Form

Bill of Sale

Use the New York bill of sale to arrange for the transfer of ownership of any vehicle, trailer, all-terrain vehicle (ATV), vessel (boat), or snowmobile. The form is used by the buyer afterwards to register and for titling purposes at his or her local DMV office (Use Finder).

• Both buyer and seller after the sale must complete the Statement of Transaction

Documents needed in addition to register a vehicle

• Title and Registration Application
• Odometer Disclosure Statement
• Statement of Transaction
• New York State Insurance ID Card
• Title from previous owner including their signature assigning the vehicle
• Blank check or a form of payment accepted by the DMV
