Tips
- Operating Agreement – Protects the members of the LLC by making an agreement of how much each person owns, how much each person has contributed (capital investment), and how disbursements will be handled as well as any other negotiated terms. If you are a single member LLC it allows the person to better their case of the entity being a legitimate business.
- Employment Identification Number (EIN) – This is a required number that a new LLC needs to obtain in order to create bank accounts and to transact in business relations. It is a number provided by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and after formation is available to apply for online.
