Tax Brackets
The State has six marginal tax brackets with 3.75% being the lowest and 5.99% at it’s highest. Marginal rates will only apply to earnings within the applicable marginal tax bracket, which are the same for single filers and for couples filing jointly.
- Earnings between $0.00 and $58,600, you will pay 3.75% only
- Earnings between $58,600.00 and $133,250, you will pay 4.75% + $2,197.50
- Earnings over $133,250.00, you will pay 5.99% + $5,743.38
